Steering Control Module: Service and Repair

The Variable Assist Power Steering II (VAPS II) system uses the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) to improve steering characteristics.

GEM Location/Installation:

The Generic Electronic Module is attached to the underside of the instrument panel fuse panel.
