GEM Controlled System

Retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) before beginning any testing. Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under left side of instrument panel. Following manufacturer's instructions, retrieve any existing codes from Generic Electronic Module (GEM). Perform appropriate DTC test. If symptoms remain or if no DTCs exist, see DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDEX . NGS tester must be used to clear DTCs. Follow manufacturer's instructions to clear individual DTC or all DTCs stored in GEM.
