Left Power Window Inoperative

  1. Remove and disconnect master switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and Red/Light Blue wire at master switch connector. If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire. See WIRING DIAGRAM  . Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and Black wires at master switch connector. If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance measurements are greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire(s). Restore system to original configuration and retest.
  3. Reconnect master switch connector. Disconnect left power window motor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at motor harness connector White/Black wire with left window switch (on master switch) held in UP position. Measure voltage at motor harness connector Yellow wire with left window switch (on master switch) held in DOWN position. If voltage is less than 10 volts at both circuits, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or greater at both circuits, replace left power windor motor.
  4. Check for open or short to ground in White/Black or Yellow wire between master switch and left power window motor. If wires are okay, replace left power window motor. Restore system to original configuration and retest.
