Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

The Steering Column/Ignition/Lighting Control (SCIL) module contains a self-diagnostic system which may store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) if a problem exists in the anti-theft alarm system. DTC may be retrieved from SCIL module and then be used to indicate the possible problem area for system diagnosis. Before retrieving DTCs from SCIL module, perform preliminary inspection procedure.
