Test K: Memory Seat Does Not Work Properly

  1. Test Seat Operation  - Operate driver seat in all directions. If driver seat operates smoothly and completely in all directions, go to next step. If seat does not operate smoothly and completely in all directions, repair driver seat. See SYMPTOM CHART  table.
  2. Test Mirror Operation  - Set new mirror positions to memory "1" position. Press memory OFF switch. Move mirrors to a different position. Turn ignition off. Remove key and exit vehicle. Wait at less 10 seconds, enter vehicle and select memory "1" button. If mirrors return to set position, go to next step. If mirrors do not return to set position, repair 5power memory mirrors.   3. Execute Self-Test  - Connect NGS tester to data link connector. Execute driver seat module self-test. See MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If DTCs U1180, U1181 or U1194 are not retrieved, replace driver seat module. If DTCs U1180 or U1194 are retrieved, see TEST C under SYSTEM TESTS in MIRRORS - POWER MEMORY article. If DTC U1181 is retrieved, see DTC U1181 under DTC TESTS in MIRRORS - POWER MEMORY article.
