Front Washer Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect washer pump motor 2-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and washer pump motor harness connector Blue/Orange wire while pulling wiper/washer switch toward steering wheel. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to step 3).
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and washer pump motor harness connector Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace washer pump motor. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black wire between washer pump motor harness connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Test wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace switch as necessary. If switch is okay, repair Blue/Orange wire between switch and washer pump motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
