Power Seat System: Description

The 6-way power seats provide horizontal, vertical and tilt adjustments. Sable and Taurus are equipped with a 6-way system with optional power lumbar adjustment. Cougar and Thunderbird use a 6-way system and do not incorporate power lumbar feature.

The 4-way power seats provide horizontal and vertical adjustments. Mustang is equipped with 4-way power seats with optional power lumbar adjustment.

Seat function switches are mounted on side of seat trim panel. Power seat circuits are protected by circuit breakers and/or fuses. All models have a circuit breaker mounted on each motor armature. Cougar and Thunderbird have an additional 20-amp circuit breaker in the primary junction block. Mustang, Sable and Taurus use an additional fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.
