All Power Windows Inoperative
- Power Supply & Ground Check
Remove left power window switch. Check voltage between Black and Red/Light Blue wires at power window switch connector. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, replace left power window switch.
- Ground Continuity Check
Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between Black wires at switch connector and ground. If all resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance measurement is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black wire. Retest system.
- Power Supply At Power Window Switch Test
Check Red/Light Blue wire for voltage at power window switch connector. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, go to step 5).
- Power Supply Circuit Test
Gain access to rear of interior fuse panel. Check for battery voltage on each side of power window circuit breaker. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, repair open Red/Light Blue wire between fuse panel and window switch.
- Check Red/Light Blue Wire For Short
Measure resistance between ground and Red/Light Blue wires at both driver's door window control switches. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or greater, replace window control switch in question. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Red/Light Blue wire.
