Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

Camshaft position sensor is used for timing pulsing of fuel injectors. Camshaft sensor signal is also used by Coil On Plug (COP) engines to determine firing of ignition coils. See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR  or CMP SYNCHRONIZER under FUEL SYSTEM.
