Test F: One-Touch Down Feature Inoperative
- Check One-Touch Down Control Unit Circuits
Turn ignition off. Disconnect 16-pin driver door master window switch connector C509. Disconnect 5-pin one-touch down control unit connector C205 (located behind left side of instrument panel). Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of Green, Red/Black and Black/White wires between driver door master window switch connector C509 and one-touch down control unit connector C205. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance of any wire is 5 ohms or more, repair open in appropriate wire(s). Retest system operation.
- Check One-Touch Down Control Unit Ground Circuit
Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ground and one-touch down control unit 5-pin connector C205 terminal No. 5 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire between one-touch down control unit 5-pin connector and ground. Retest system operation.
- Check Left Front Window Motor Operation
Perform power window motor test. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR
under COMPONENT TESTS. If left front power window motor is faulty, replace left front power window motor and retest system operation. If left front power window motor is okay, go to next step.
- Check Left Front Power Window Motor Circuits
Disconnect left front power window motor connector C504. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of Red/Green and Red/Black wires between one-touch down control unit 5-pin connector C205 and left front power window motor connector C504. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, replace one-touch down control unit and retest system operation. If resistance of either wire is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Red/Green and/or Red/Black wire(s). Retest system operation.
