Pinpoint Test O: ADVANCE Trac®/IVD CANNOT BE DISABLED/SWITCH INDICATOR IS ALWAYS ON

- O1 CHECK THE Advance Trac®/IVD SWITCH
- Disconnect: Advance Trac®/IVD Switch C3208.
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between Advance Trac®/IVD switch C3208-1, circuit 31S-CF45 (BK/GN), component side and Advance Trac®/IVD switch C3208-4, circuit 8-CF54 (WH/VT), component side.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- Yes : GO to O2.
- No : INSTALL a new Advance Trac®/IVD switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
- O2 CHECK CIRCUIT 8-CF54 (WH/VT) FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: ABS Module C155.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between ABS module C155-38, circuit 8-CF54 (WH/VT), harness side and ground.
- Is voltage present?
- Yes : REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.
- No : GO to O3.
- O3 CHECK CIRCUIT 31S-CF45 (BK/GN) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Key in OFF position.
- Measure the resistance between ABS module C155-13, circuit 31S-CF45 (BK/GN), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
- Yes : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE in this article . REPEAT the self-test.
- No : REPAIR the circuit in question. REPEAT the self-test.
