Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

Ensure none of following conditions exist:

• Binding throttle linkage.
• TP sensor loose or not seated properly.
• Throttle plate not fully closed.

Faults in TP sensor or circuit should set a diagnostic trouble code. See QUICK TEST in appropriate article:
