Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor:

REMOVAL
1. Partially drain engine cooling system.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from Engine Coolant Temperature sensor (ECT sensor).
4. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor from heater.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten engine coolant temperature sensor to 14-19 Nm (11-14 lb-ft).
3. Refill engine cooling system.
