Removal and Replacement

Powertrain Control Module:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cowl top vent panel.
3. Loosen engine control sensor wiring to PCM connector retaining bolt.
4. Remove engine control sensor wiring connector from Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
5. Remove two PCM cover nuts.
6. Remove PCM cover.
7. Pull powertrain control module out of powertrain control module bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten PCM cover nuts to 4-5.6 Nm (36-49 lb in).
3. Tighten PCM wiring connector retaining bolt to 3.7 Nm (32 lb in).
