Article No.

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) -
CALIBRATIONS VS. PCM VS. CATALYST
ASSEMBLIES - SERVICE TIP

LIGHT TRUCK:
1998 WINDSTAR

This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to add more affected calibrations.

ISSUE:
This TSB article will provide information to clarify calibrations vs. PCM vs. catalyst assemblies. This is required because the correct On-Board Diagnostics II (OBDII) calibration contained in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) needs to be matched to the correct catalyst so that Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) concerns do not arise due to calibration and catalyst mismatch.

ACTION:
Refer to the Application Chart for the correct PCM, calibration and catalyst to use when servicing the vehicle.
