Test J: Passive Anti-Theft System (Pats) Module Does Not Respond To NGS Tester

- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PATS module 16-pin connector. See Figure. Inspect PATS module connector for physical damage, bent terminals or corrosion. Repair connector as necessary and retest system for normal operation. If connector is okay, go to next step.
- Measure resistance of Tan/Orange wire between PATS module connector terminal No. 6 and DLC terminal No. 2. See Figure and Fig 1 . Measure resistance of Pink/Light Blue wire between PATS module connector terminal No. 5 and DLC terminal No. 10. If each resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PATS module and retest system for normal operation. If either resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in appropriate wire between DLC and PATS module. Retest system for normal operation.
