What To Do If All Keys Are Lost (using NGS Tester ver 9.0)

NOTE:
- This procedure is used when all keys have been lost.
NOTE:
- This procedure requires at least two PATS keys with correct key cut.
- Using the NGS Tester (9.0 version card) connected to the OBD II connector (DLC II) and the new (unprogrammed) key in the ignition switch in the ON position.
- With WDS or equivalent, select:
- Diagnostic Data Link (press Trigger).
- PCM - Powertrain Control Module (press Trigger).
- Function Tests (press Trigger).
- Enter Security Access (press Trigger). There will be a 10 minute delay to access the next step.
Screen displays "Process has been completed" (press Trigger).
- Screen displays the following:
- IGN KEY CODE PROGRAM
- IGN KEY CODE ERASE
- SPARE KEY SWITCH ENABLE
- SPARE KEY SWITCH DISABLE
- Select "IGN KEY CODE ERASE" (press Trigger). Screen displays "Process has been completed" (press Trigger).
- Now select "Ignition Key Code Program". Press Trigger. Press Trigger.
- Now select "Ignition Key Code Program". Press Trigger. Press Trigger again.
- If you are ONLY programming two keys - turn key OFF. Disconnect NGS and remove second key from ignition. Follow step seven.
- If you are programming more than two keys - continue sequence described in steps five and six until last key is programmed. Then follow step seven.
- Now turn second key ON (security light should light steadily and go off in three seconds) and start vehicle. Remove second key.
- Now insert first key into ignition, turn ON (security light should light steadily and go off in three seconds) and start vehicle. First key is now programmed.
- You now have two programmed keys.
NOTE:
- To program additional keys, follow "To Program Keys Without WDS or WDS Tester". Refer to KEY PROGRAMMING USING TWO PROGRAMMED KEYS .
NOTE:
- Make sure the SPARE KEY PROGRAMMING SWITCH is "ENABLED" before trying to program additional keys. Refer to KEY PROGRAMMING SWITCH STATE CONTROL .
