Master Window/Door Lock Control Switch

NOTE: Power door lock and power window switch is combined into one switch (master window/door lock control switch). This tests only the power door lock circuits of the control switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  1. Remove master window/door lock control switch to be tested. With switch in released position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 4 and between terminals No. 2 and 5. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Continuity should not exist between terminal No. 3 and any other terminal. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace power door lock switch.
  2. With switch in LOCK position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 4 and between terminals No. 2 and 5. Continuity should not exist between terminal No. 1 and any other terminal. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace power door lock switch.
  3. With switch in UNLOCK position, continuity should exist between terminals No. 2 and 3 and between terminals No. 1 and 4. Continuity should not exist between terminal No. 5 and any other terminal. If continuity is as specified, power door lock switch is okay at this time. If continuity is not as specified, replace power door lock switch.
