No Communication With Abs Control Module (1998 Models)
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect 30-pin ABS control module connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ABS control module connector terminal No. 8 (Light Blue/Pink wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace 10-amp fuse No. 7 located in instrument panel fuse block, and/or repair Light Blue/Pink wire between ABS control module and instrument panel fuse block.
- Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ABS control module connector terminal No. 15 (Black wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, diagnose module communications network. See appropriate MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black wire between ABS control module and ground connection.
