- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect malfunctioning outside mirror harness connector. Inspect wiring. Ensure wires are connected to proper terminals. See WIRE/TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION
table. See Figure
. If wires are not damaged and properly connected, go to next step. If wires are damaged and/or connected improperly, repair as necessary.

- Measure voltage/resistance at appropriate terminal at malfunctioning outside mirror harness connector while operating mirror control switch to appropriate position. See MIRROR LOGIC VOLTAGE TEST
table. If voltage/resistance readings are not as specified, go to next step. If voltage/resistance readings are as specified, replace appropriate outside mirror.

- Remove mirror control switch leaving harness connected. Using a DVOM, backprobe at appropriate terminal at mirror control switch harness connector C518 while operating switch in appropriate position. See SWITCH LOGIC VOLTAGE TEST
table. If voltage/resistance readings are as specified, repair crossed wires. If voltage/resistance readings are not as specified, replace mirror control switch.
