WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Milan, 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, and 2006 Ford Fusion. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: The Flex Probe Kit must be used for all test connections. Use of standard multimeter probes may damage wiring terminals
  1. A1 CHECK THE ABS MODULE VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: ABS Module C135.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between ground and:
      • ABS module C135-1, SBB36 (GN/RD), harness side.
      • ABS module C135-8, CBP19 (BN/WH), harness side.
      • ABS module C135-32, SBB10 (YE/RD), harness side.
    • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?

    Yes  : GO to A2.

No  : VERIFY SJB fuse 28 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit CBP19 (BN/WH) for an open.

VERIFY BJB fuse 36 (40A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit SBB36 (GN/RD) for an open.

VERIFY BJB fuse 10 (20A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit SBB10 (YE/RD) for an open.

TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. A2 CHECK THE ABS MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between ABS module C135-16, circuit GD123 (BK/GY), harness side and ground.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes  : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue diagnosis of the communication network.

No  : REPAIR circuit GD123 (BK/GY) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
