Removal and Installation

  1. Recover the A/C refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  3. Remove the cooling fan. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN .
  4. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper degas bottle hose from the radiator.
  5. Release the hose and disconnect the radiator hose from the radiator.
  6. Remove the nut and disconnect the A/C manifold tube from the LH side of the condenser.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  7. Remove the nut and disconnect the A/C manifold tube from the RH side of the condenser.
    • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  8. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
  9. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower degas bottle hose from the radiator.
  10. Remove the bolts and the lower fan shroud.
    • To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
  11. Release the clamps and disconnect the transmission cooler hoses.
  12. Remove the bolts and the cooling module.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
  13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
