Passenger Air Bag Module: Installation

- Position the passenger air bag module and install the 1 lower and 2 upper passenger air bag module nuts.
- Install the lower passenger air bag module nut.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Install the 2 upper passenger air bag module nuts.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Install the lower passenger air bag module nut.
- Connect the passenger air bag module electrical connector and close the glove compartment.
- Repower the system. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
CAUTION:
Do not handle the passenger air bag module by grabbing the edges of the deployment door.
CAUTION:
The passenger air bag module nuts must be torqued in the sequence indicated.
NOTE:
Make sure the retaining clips are in place before positioning the passenger air bag module to the instrument panel.
