Remote Keyless Entry Keypad Code Programming

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis and 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Enter the permanent factory keyless entry keypad code.
  2. Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to activate the programming mode. Holding the 1/2 button for more than 2 seconds erases all stored customer codes. The existing codes do not need to be erased to program new codes.
    3. NOTE: Each number must be entered within 5 seconds of each other.
  3. Enter the new 5-digit keyless entry keypad code.
  4. To associate the new code with personality positions, press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds of entering the fifth digit of the new code for position 1 or 3/4 button for position 2 or 5/6, 7/8, or 9/0 for a third personal code. The door locks lock and unlock, confirming the new code is programmed.
  5. After all new keyless entry keypad codes are programmed:
    • press keyless entry keypad buttons 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time to exit the program mode.
    • wait for 5 seconds; the driver door module (DDM) will exit the program mode automatically.
