Compass Calibration

  1. For optimum calibration, turn off all non-essential electrical accessories (rear window defrost, heater/air conditioning, map lamps, wipers, etc.) and make sure all doors are shut.
  2. Drive to an open, level area away from large metallic objects or structures and high voltage lines.
  3. Press and release the RESET button to start the compass calibration function.
    4. NOTE: This step will take up to 5 circles to complete the calibration.
  4. Slowly drive in a circle less than 5 km/h (3 mph) until the CIRCLE SLOWLY TO CALIBRATE display changes to CALIBRATION COMPLETED.
  5. The compass is now calibrated.
