Exhaust System Alignment

- Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Loosen the exhaust clamp from the turbocharger outlet to the exhaust inlet pipe.
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
- Loosen all exhaust component fasteners and clamps from the exhaust manifolds to the muffler inlet pipe.
- Beginning at the front of the vehicle, align the exhaust system to establish maximum clearance. Make sure the slip fit pipes are pushed all the way together and the notches are correctly lined up with the tabs.
- Beginning at the front of the vehicle, tighten all fasteners and clamps to specification. For additional information, refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Start the engine and check the exhaust system for leaks.

Make sure the exhaust insulators are hanging straight up and down.
