Engine And Radiator Flushing

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

Motorcraft Premium Cooling System Flush VC-1 ESR-M14P7-A
Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant VC-7-A WSS-M97B51-A1
  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
  2. Remove the thermostat. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT AND THERMOSTAT HOUSING .
  3. Install the coolant hose connection without the thermostat.
  4. NOTE: Refer to the manufacturer's operating instructions for specific vehicle hook-up.
  5. Using an appropriate cooling system flusher, flush the engine and radiator. Use cooling system flush for vehicles filled with premium gold engine coolant (yellow color).
  6. Install the thermostat. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT AND THERMOSTAT HOUSING .
  7. Backflush the heater core if necessary. For additional information, refer to HEATER CORE BACKFLUSHING .
  8. Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
