Test F: Smart Lock Feature Does Not Operate Properly Or Inoperative
- Insert key into ignition. Open driver door. If chime sounds, go to step 4 . If chime does not sound, go to next step.
- Ensure key is in ignition and ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect key-in ignition switch connector C283. Connect jumper wire between ground and key-in ignition switch connector C283 terminal No. 1 (Black/Pink wire). Open driver door. If chime sounds, replace key-in ignition switch. If chime does not sound, go to next step.
- Disconnect Lighting Control Module (LCM) 16-pin connector C2027. Measure resistance in Black/Pink wire between key-in ignition switch connector C283 terminal No. 1 and LCM connector C2027 terminal No. 3. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black/Pink wire.
- Disconnect DDM 18-pin connector. Measure resistance in Black/Pink wire between key-in ignition switch connector C283 terminal No. 1 and DDM connector C519 terminal No. 18. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace DDM. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Black/Pink wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
