    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

    Yes

    GO to  G3 .

    No

    GO to G2.

  2. G2 CHECK THE BATTERY SAVER RELAY
    • Remove the battery saver relay.
    • Carry out the battery saver relay component test.

Refer to COMPONENT TESTING for schematic and connector information.

    • Does the battery saver relay pass the component test?

    Yes

REPAIR circuit 1005 (VT/OG). CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

    No

INSTALL a new battery saver relay. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

  3. G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 705 (LG/OG)
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Remove the battery saver relay.
    • Disconnect: Overhead Console C931, if equipped.
    • Disconnect: Front Row Dome Lamp C929, if equipped.
    • Measure the resistance between the battery saver relay, pin 5, circuit 705 (LG/OG), harness side and the overhead console C931-4, circuit 705 (LG/OG), harness side or between the battery saver relay pin 5, circuit 705 (LG/OG), harness side and the front row dome lamp C929-3, circuit 705 (LG/OG), harness side.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

    Yes

    GO to G4.

    No

REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

  4. G4 CHECK THE BATTERY SAVER RELAY
    • Remove the battery saver relay.
    • Carry out the battery saver relay component test.

Refer to COMPONENT TESTING for schematic and connector information.

    • Does the battery saver relay pass the component test?

    Yes

    GO to G5.

    No

INSTALL a new battery saver relay. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

  5. G5 CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
    • Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
    • Check for:
    • corrosion
    • pushed-out pins
    • Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
    • Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present?

    Yes

INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

    No

The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
