Pinpoint Test G: Flash Code 2 - STOPLAMP Switch Circuit Failure

CAUTION:
Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
- G1 CHECK THE STOPLAMP OPERATION
- Apply and release the brake pedal while observing the stoplamps.
- Do the stoplamps operate correctly?
- YES : Go to G2.
- NO : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING article.
- G2 CHECK THE STOPLAMP BULBS
- Check the stoplamps for the presence of aftermarket LED lights.
- Are the correct stoplamp bulbs installed?
- YES : Go to G3.
- NO : INSTALL the correct stoplamp bulbs. TEST the system for normal operation.
- G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 511 (LG) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Speed Control Actuator C122
- While applying the brake pedal, measure the voltage between the speed control actuator C122-4, circuit 511 (LG), harness side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- YES : INSTALL a new speed control actuator. REFER to Speed Control Actuator . REPEAT the self-test.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit. REPEAT the self-test.
