Section 1614 (Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT)): Removal: Transaxle

    NOTE: Do not drain the oil when removing the engine to service the transaxle.
    NOTE: Inspect the plug and washer for damage and install a new plug if necessary.
  1. To remove the transaxle, follow the engine removal procedure. For additional information, refer to ENGINE MECHANICAL - 2.5L -- FUSION HYBRID, MILAN HYBRID & MKZ HYBRID article. Before removing the engine and transaxle from the vehicle, remove the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.
