Jacking Points

WARNING:
Always position the vehicle on a hard level surface. If the vehicle must be jacked up on a soft surface use load spreading blocks under the jack. Always use a chock at the wheel diagonally opposite the jack. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION:
It is not recommended that the vehicle is jacked or lifted on the rear suspension crossmember. If the vehicle must be lifted on the crossmember, make sure that the jack or lift is positioned centrally. Failure to follow these instructions will result in deformation of the closing plate which will weaken the crossmember.
Before commencing any repairs that involve jacking the vehicle, it is essential that the following instructions are fully understood.
It is important that only the correct jacking and support locations are used at all times.
The vehicle may be lifted by positioning a floor jack under the outer rocker panel and supported by vehicle axle stands. The location is identified behind a removable cover (if equipped), a notch in the outer rocker panel indicates where the jack should be positioned. Use a cushioned pad, if possible, to avoid damaging body paint.
