Caster Adjustment

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Mercury Marauder, 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, 2004 Ford Crown Victoria, 2003 Mercury Marauder, and 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Caster adjustment can effect camber and toe settings. The left caster bushing may have a centering washer that needs to be removed and discarded prior to adjustment.
  1. Loosen the nut and move the arm inward to decrease the caster and outward to increase the caster. See Fig 1 . See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. While holding the arm, tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Recheck the camber, caster and toe, and adjust as needed.
