CAUTION: Instrument cluster (HEC) and PCM come as a matched pair from the factory. Vehicle will not start unless correct PCM and HEC are installed. If replacing instrument cluster or PCM it is necessary to initialize new modules. After replacement of PCM or HEC, cycle ignition switch to RUN position using 2 encoded keys. This should initialize new module and vehicle should start. If vehicle does not start, perform TEST I: PCM ID DOES NOT MATCH INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ID .

Disconnect negative battery cable. Loosen bolt, then remove wiring harness connector from Powertrain Control Module (PCM), located on right side of engine compartment. Remove PCM. To install, reverse procedure.
