Test C: System Overcharges

  1. Disconnect generator 3-pin harness connector. Measure voltage between positive battery terminal and generator harness connector terminal "A". See Figure. If voltage is less than .5 volt, go to next step. If voltage is .5 volt or more, repair Orange/Light Blue wire between generator and Brown fusible link "C". See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  2. Inspect generator and regulator grounds (mounting surfaces and fasteners). Inspect battery ground. If problem exists, repair as necessary. If all grounds are okay, replace voltage regulator.
