Test C: Both Windows Completely Inoperative

  1. Disconnect driver's door master window switch harness connector C503. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage between ground and driver's door master switch harness connector C503 terminal No. 19 (Yellow/Light Green wire). See Fig 1 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, go to step  3 .
  2. Remove circuit breaker No. 14 (20-amp) from central junction box. Measure resistance between ground and driver's door master switch harness connector C503 terminal No. 19 (Yellow/Light Green wire). If resistance is greater than 10 k/ohms, repair open in Yellow/Light Green wire. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Yellow/Light Green wire.
  3. Measure resistance between ground and driver's door master window switch connector C503 terminal No. 13 (Black wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace driver's door master window switch. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
