Remote Transmitter
NOTE:
Once programming mode has been entered and transmitter button is pressed for the first time, all previously stored transmitter codes will be erased. All transmitters to be used with this system must be programmed at the same time (maximum of 4 transmitters). Ensure battery is fully charged and anti-theft is not armed or triggered (if equipped) before proceeding with programming procedures.
- Turn ignition switch from OFF position to RUN position 8 times within 10 seconds, ending in RUN position. If GEM successfully enters program mode, all doors will lock and unlock.
- Press and hold any button on keyless entry remote transmitter. Repeat with all remote transmitters to be programmed. All doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of each remote transmitter.
- If door locks do not respond for any remote transmitter, wait several seconds, and press button again. To exit program mode, turn ignition switch to LOCK position or wait up to 5 seconds after step 1) . If remote transmitter(s) have been (re)programmed, GEM will lock and unlock all doors one last time.
NOTE:
The first Transmitter Identification Code (TIC) must be entered within 7.5 seconds of entering program mode. Additional TICs must be entered within 7.5 seconds of first TIC. If time constraints are not met, GEM will exit programming mode.
