WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Lincoln Town Car. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: The Flex Probe Kit must be used for all test connections. Use of standard multimeter probes may damage wiring terminals.
  1. F1 CHECK CIRCUIT 601 (LB/PK), CIRCUIT 483 (RD), AND CIRCUIT 88 (BK/WH) FOR AN OPEN
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: ABS module C135.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the ABS module C135 pins and ground as follows:
      Pin Circuit
      8 88 (BK/WH)
      13 601 (LB/PK)
      14 483 (RD)
    • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
    • Yes  : GO to  F2.
    • No  : REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  2. F2 CHECK THE ABS MODULE GROUNDS
    • Measure the resistance between the ABS module C135 pin 15, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground; and between the ABS module C135 pin 12, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
