Programmable Parameters

Programmable parameters are controlled features that can be modified while in service, typically for customer preference features. If a module that has been modified by programmable parameters needs replacement, Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure will maintain parameters in their altered state if New Generation Star (NGS) tester was able to communicate with old module during vehicle identification (ID) routine. If NGS tester was not able to communicate with old module during vehicle ID routine, programmable parameters may be used to return controlled features to their altered state.
