System Tests: Notes
CAUTION:
Disconnect battery before disconnecting and connecting Generic Electronic Module (GEM) connectors. Failure to do so may result in GEM storing erroneous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and/or erratic operation. When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
After all repairs, clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and retest system.
