System Tests: Notes
WARNING:
Disable air bag system before working around steering column or removing any air bag system component. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
To prevent being locked out of vehicle, keep driver's window rolled down when performing tests. After repair is completed, clear any diagnostic trouble codes that exist and recheck system for proper operation.
