Power Sliding Door REINITIALIZATION Procedure

  1. Power sliding door position settings will be lost if battery is disconnected. Reinitialization procedure must be successfully performed to restore position settings memory. If power is lost to only one power sliding door module, effected power sliding door will need to be reinitialized.
  2. Ensure each power sliding door is fully closed, securely latched and unlocked. Ensure gearshift selector is in Park and fuel filler door is closed. Turn overhead console power sliding door switch on.
  3. Press overhead console power sliding door switch to open. Observe power sliding door operation. After power sliding door is fully open and stopped, go to next step.
  4. Press overhead console power sliding door switch to close. Observe power sliding door operation. When power sliding door is completely closed, initialization is complete. If any power sliding door does not operate correctly, see POWER SLIDING DOOR SYSTEMS - WINDSTAR article.
