System Tests: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Ford Windstar and 1999 Ford Windstar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Test steps in the following tests refer to various harness connectors. Connectors are identified in illustrations. See Figure-Figure . After any repairs have been made on vehicle, always perform self-test on affected system to check for normal operation of power sliding doors.
NOTE: Central Junction Box (CJB) may also be referred to as Fuse Junction Box (FJB).
NOTE: Anytime battery or Fuse Junction Box (FJB) fuse No. 6 (15-amp) is disconnected, power sliding doors must be initialized before they will operate correctly. If Left Power Sliding Door Module (LPSDM) harness connector C355 or Right Power Sliding Door Module (RPSDM) harness connector C352 is disconnected, only associated power sliding door must be initialized. If any module, switch or sensor is replaced or if any related wiring is repaired, both power sliding doors must be initialized. See POWER SLIDING DOOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE  under PROGRAMMING. For module, switch or sensor replacement procedure, see REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
