New Generation Speed Control (NGSC) Servo: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Ford Windstar and 1999 Ford Windstar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Incorrect wrapping of speed control actuator cable around speed control servo/actuator pulley may result in a high idle condition.

To install, make sure locking spring snaps into place on speed control cable slug. Insert speed control cable slug into speed control servo/actuator pulley slot. Ensure rubber seal is fully seated on servo/actuator cable cap. Align speed control actuator cable cap tabs with slots in speed control servo/actuator housing and seat speed control cable cap. Rotate cap clockwise until locking tab engages. Install speed control servo/actuator bracket bolts and connect electrical connector to speed control servo/actuator.
