WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation involving steering column components. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
WARNING: On vehicles with electronic air suspension, power to air suspension system must be turned off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing. On Econoline and Pickup, air suspension switch is located behind right kick panel area. On all other models, air suspension switch is located in left side of trunk. Failure to do so can result in inflation or deflation of air springs, which may cause vehicle to shift during servicing.
