Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

EGO Sensor Wrench:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.







2. Disconnect the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.







3. Remove the HO2S using the special tool.
^ If necessary, lubricate the HO2S with penetrating oil to assist in removal.


INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Apply a light coat of high temperature nickel anti-seize compound to the threads of the heated oxygen sensors.
