Test D: Warning Indicator On With Engine Running, System Is Charging

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect generator 3-pin connector. Inspect connector for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Ensure generator connector is connected properly. If connector is not okay, repair as necessary and retest system operation. If connector is okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on and observe warning indicator. If warning indicator does not illuminate, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If warning indicator illuminates, repair short to ground in Light Green/Red wire between generator and instrument panel. Retest system operation. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
