O1 CHECK THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE C4081a FOR DAMAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Luggage Compartment Lid Module C4081a.
- Inspect the luggage compartment lid module C4081a for damage.
- Is the luggage compartment lid module C4081a OK?
Result / Action to Take
Yes
GO to O2.
No
REPAIR the luggage compartment lid module C4081a. CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
Test Step
O2 CHECK CIRCUIT 70 (LB/WH) BETWEEN THE C251 AND THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE C4081a FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the luggage compartment lid module C4081a pin 7, circuit 70 (LB/WH), harness side and the C251 pin 7, circuit 70 (LB/WH), harness side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Result / Action to Take
Yes
GO to O3.
No
REPAIR the circuit in question. CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
Test Step
O3 CHECK FOR CORRECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect all the luggage compartment lid module connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all the luggage compartment lid module connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
Result / Action to Take
Yes
INSTALL a luggage compartment lid module. REFER to BODY CLOSURES . CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
No
The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the selftest.
