Main Control Valve Body: Assembly

Clean all components with a suitable solvent and use compressed air to dry all parts and clean the fluid passages. Perform the following before assembling:
- Inspect the valves for damage or wear.
- Check for worn or broken springs.

NOTE: Do not compress the spring when measuring it with vernier calipers.

Measure the free length of the pressure regulator spring, 1-2 shift valve spring, low reducing valve spring, the 3-4 shift spring, and the 2-3 timing valve spring. For spring specifications, use the following spring specification chart.
- If not as specified, replace the spring.

Install the (C) solenoid reducing valve, (B) solenoid reducing valve spring, and the (A) spring retainer.

Install the (D) 3-4 shift valve spring, (C) 3-4 shift valve, (B) stop plug and the (A) stop pin.

Install the (D) low reducing valve spring, (C) low reducing valve, (B) stop plug, and the (A) stop pin.

Install the (D) 1-2 shift valve spring, (C) 1-2 shift valve, (B) stop plug, and the (A) stop pin.
