Self-Diagnostics System

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Following scan tool manufacturer's instructions, retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for Driver Seat Module (DSM). If codes received are related to customer concern, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX table. If no DTCs related to customer concern are retrieved, repair vehicle by symptom. See SYMPTOM CHART INDEX table.

⁽³⁾	Clear DTCs, repeat DSM self test. If B1342 returns, replace DSM.
